How do I  Identify the Correct Sender of spam?

In order to stop spam you must properly block it, but first you  must identify who sent it.  Unfortunately it is not as easy as viewing the return email address.  If you were to reply to the email below it would reply to veronica@39.net which is the INCORRECT sender of the email.  Following the steps below will show how to find the CORRECT sender of the email. hrsbrn01.hrsoftware.ch or 62.2.255.234.

Step 1.  Open the email in Eudora, Outlook or Netscape .

Step 2.
For Eudora: Click the "blah blah blah" button  to display the full header  information.

For Outlook: Select the View drop down menu and select "All headers"(make sure it is CHECKED).

For Netscape: Select View  Headers select ALL (make sure all has a dot next to it)

Step 3.  Choose to forward the email.  (you are not actually forwarding the message, but rather displaying the header info). The email address

Step 4. That will display information similar to the image below. The email information in the red box is the CORRECT sender of the spam.  The email address is blue is an alias and the INCORRECT sender of the spam.

Step 5.  The information in the red box shows the true identity of the sender.  Received: from hrsbrn01.hrsoftware.ch [62.2.255.234] This is the sender that should be submitted,  not veronica@39.net as claimed in the return address field.
