Every member should check webmail
at least once a week regardless of whether or not they use it as their primary
way to check email.
Inbox.Spam.new - Contains messages that our filters have classified as spam.
We filter on words and content so it is possible that a non-spam email could
end up in the Inbox.Spam.new box. Please check this box occasionally. At
the end of the month the messages get moved from the Inbox.Spam.new box to the
Inbox.Spam.old box.
Inbox.Spam.old - Contains messages that have been left in the
Inbox.Spam.new
box for over a month. They will stay in the Inbox.Spam.old box for another
month and then are overwritten by the next month's Inbox.Spam.new.
We are blocking based on many different criterias, including black list servers
of known spammers, our own black list of email and IP addresses, attachments,
known viruses, and on message body content.
When spam comes into the mail server:
1. If it matches from one of the black lists, we bounce it back, and delete it
from the system, so you never see it.
2. If it's any other type, like blocked from message body content or unsure of
being SPAM or good, we keep it and put it in a special mailbox for you to look
at and decide if you would like to keep it or delete it. But it does not show
up as regular email. It's a good idea to check this mailbox in case you have
some email that got blocked, but you would like to get. Or delete it if you
don't need it.
To retrieve this email you need to go to
http://webmail.craftech.com, login with your email user name and password
and you will see in addition to your regular INBOX, a INBOX.Spam.new, and an
INBOX.Spam.old.
If you don't delete your SPAM, we keep it for 30 days. At the end of each
month, your INBOX.spam.new is moved to your INBOX.spam.old overwriting the
previous INBOX.spam.old box.
